Angelica (Gayla) Theresa FELD was graduated in June 1929 at Sheboygan High School, Sheboygan, Wis.³ Her Social Security Number was 389-20-6743.⁴ As of 25 August 1931,her married name was DANIELS. She was a Credit Manager in 1946 at J. C. Penney Co., Sheboygan, Wis. On 14 September 1998 at Sheboygan, Wis, the Sheboygan Press obituary reads "Angelica "Gaila" T. Daniels, 86, a resident of Heritage Nursing Center, died Saturday morning, Sept.. 12, 1998, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Gaila was born Nov.. 25, 1911 in Sheboygan to Paul and Anna (Manthey) Feld. She graduated from Sheboygan High School, class of 1929. On August 24, 1931, she married Robert A. Daniels Sr., at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. The couple operated Daniels' Food Market which was located in the 1100 block of North Eighth Street. They resided on Cheyenne Trail for many years. Mr. Daniels preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1980. gaila was employed at J. C. Penney Co. for over 30 years until her retirement as credit manager in 1976. Mrs.. Daniels was a member of Holy Name Parish, St. Anne's Society, where she served six years as secretary, and St. Luke the Evangelist Unit of the Good Samaritan Guild. Since 1981, she was active with the Foster Grandparent Program at James Madison School where she was honored for many years of service. Gaila enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She maintained a close relationship with her family and was very proud of her grandchildren. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. and Ione Daniels, Michael T. and Diane Daniels and Richard T. and Charlene Daniels, all of Sheboygan; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Durham of Greenville, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; three sisters, Dolores (Edward) Van De Kreeke of Sheboygan, Carol Theune of Atlanta, Ga. and Gertrude (Wayne) Todd of Denver, Colo; and a son-in-law, James Berlin. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Berlin; and two brothers, Francis and Roland Feld. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at noon at Holy Name Church with the Rev. Daniel Sanders, pastor. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday at the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Foster Grandparents. A parish vigil service will be held at Ballhorn on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
